As Product Owner – eCommerce, you are responsible for driving the execution, delivery and operational performance of PayXpert’s eCommerce payment products. You will work in close collaboration with the Product Manager, who owns strategy and roadmap, while you focus on backlog execution, feature delivery and production excellence, ensuring reliable and high-quality implementation across all initiatives. This is a highly hands-on role, where you will work directly with real payment flows, APIs, transaction data and production environments, contributing to improving conversion, approval rates and overall payment performance. Key Responsibilities Delivery & Execution • Own and manage the product backlog, aligned with the PM roadmap, • Write user stories, specifications and acceptance criteria, • Lead Agile rituals (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives), • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features, • Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA and Data teams, • Support testing, validation and release processes, • Ensure post-release monitoring and follow-up Production Monitoring & Issue Resolution • Monitor production performance across transactions, payment flows and conversion metrics, • Investigate payment failures, drops in approval rates, routing issues and 3DS/authentication problems, • Perform root cause analysis using SQL, logs and observability tools, • Analyse API calls, gateway logs and acquirer responses, • Work with Engineering to diagnose and resolve incidents quickly, • Own incident follow-up and ensure proper resolution and prevention, • Contribute to improving monitoring, alerting and debugging capabilities External Coordination (Schemes & Partners) • Coordinate with card schemes (CB, Visa, Mastercard) and external providers, • Support feature implementation and certifications, • Investigate and resolve technical and compliance issues involving partners, • Ensure alignment with scheme rules (3DS, CB2A, etc.) and regulatory requirements, • Act as a coordination point with acquirers and payment ecosystem stakeholders Stakeholder Collaboration • Act as the main point of contact for delivery and production topics, • Ensure alignment between Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance and Data, • Communicate progress, risks and dependencies, • Provide visibility on production issues and delivery status Support to Product Discovery • Support the Product Manager in discovery and analysis when relevant, • Provide data insights and feedback from production and delivery, • Contribute to refining problem statements and validating hypotheses Position Requirements • 2-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, • Experience in eCommerce, payment funnel optimisation or payment industry is a strong plus!, • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex issues, • Hands-on experience with: SQL - API tools (Postman, Bruno) - Logs / observability tools, • Understanding of payment flows and transaction lifecycle, • Knowledge of 3DS workflows and CB2A is a plus, • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments, • Fluent English is mandatory, • French is a strong plus!
