Job Title: Senior Project Planner Location: Paris, Office based role Job Type: Contract Daily Rate: EUR400- EUR440 Duration and Hours: May 2026 - March 2027 / 40 hour weeks APPLY DIRECTLY HERE: ___ Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Planner to join a major multi-billion-dollar development programme within the Oil & Gas sector. This is a key role supporting large-scale international projects across FEED, engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up phases. The successful candidate will provide expert planning and scheduling support across a complex portfolio of projects, ensuring schedule integrity, high-quality reporting, and alignment with project control processes and procedures. This role requires strong international and multicultural experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple project teams and contractors worldwide. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project plans and schedules across all project phases., • Integrate schedules from multiple projects, contractors, disciplines, and workstreams into a unified programme plan., • Support the Project Controls Manager in establishing planning and scheduling strategies., • Coordinate project control engineers in scope definition, planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting., • Ensure compliance with project control procedures, systems, and reporting standards., • Review and analyse project performance, productivity, and progress against approved baselines., • Prepare schedule forecasts and identify trends, risks, delays, and corrective actions., • Provide expert guidance on planning and scheduling matters across the project organisation., • Interface with contractors, consultants, fabrication yards, and project partners on schedule-related matters., • Maintain the integrity of work breakdown structures, planning tools, and project databases., • Support continuous improvement of project-specific planning and controls procedures. Key Duties • Examine and understand project scope and technical documentation., • Translate technical and operational data into robust project schedules., • Produce schedules at different levels of detail for management and execution teams., • Update schedules regularly to reflect actual progress and forecast completion dates., • Prepare and issue progress reports and planning deliverables in a timely manner., • Support benchmarking, reporting accuracy, and data consistency across the programme., • Contribute to implementation of project planning tools such as WBS, CWP, CTRs, and other control systems. Candidate Requirements Education • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline., • Minimum 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry., • At least 10 years’ direct project services experience in planning and project controls., • Strong experience in large-scale upstream and midstream developments., • Previous exposure to offshore gas developments, subsea systems, onshore pipelines, LNG plants, Floating Production Units, or similar major capital projects is highly desirable., • Experience across early project phases such as FEL, Conceptual, and FEED, as well as execution environments., • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, or other planning and scheduling tools., • Strong Excel and database management capability., • Strong leadership and coordination skills., • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability., • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills., • Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision., • High level of adaptability, flexibility, and responsiveness to changing priorities., • Team-oriented with a positive and multicultural working style., • Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage., • Functional Reporting: Project Control & Contracts Management Support Coordinator, • Hierarchical Reporting: Project Execution Manager / Project Control Manager Why Join Us?
