MVG (Microwave Vision Group) is a premier global leader in antenna measurement systems, EMC testing solutions, and RF safety equipment. We deliver cutting-edge microwave technologies that empower the aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and automotive industries to test and validate their most advanced innovations. At MVG, a Manufacturing Engineer is the crucial bridge between our R&D design teams and the production floor. You will be the owner of the build process, responsible for translating complex electro-mechanical and RF designs into highly efficient, repeatable, and scalable production realities. You will oversee the complete lifecycle of our critical RF modules—ensuring that power supplies, sensitive RF components, precise cable routing, electronic boards, rugged mechanical enclosures, and advanced cooling systems are integrated seamlessly and built to the highest quality standards to support our world-class measurement systems. Responsibilities: • Process Development & Documentation: Develop, consolidate, and maintain comprehensive manufacturing files, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), assembly work instructions (WIs), and process routings for complex RF modules., • Electro-Mechanical Integration: Define and optimize the assembly processes for integrating electronic boards (PCBAs), power supplies, and delicate RF components into tight mechanical enclosures., • RF & Cable Routing: Establish precise manufacturing procedures for handling, bending, and routing RF cables (coaxial, waveguides) to prevent signal degradation, VSWR issues, or phase mismatch during assembly., • Thermal Management Assembly: Create instructions and define tooling for the proper installation of cooling systems (heat sinks, thermal interface materials, liquid cooling loops, or fans) within the module enclosures., • Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Collaborate closely with RF, Electrical, and Mechanical Design Engineers during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to ensure that new module designs are optimized for assembly, cost, and testability., • Tooling & Fixtures: Design and procure custom manufacturing assembly fixtures, jigs, and tooling to aid technicians in the precise alignment and assembly of RF modules., • Production Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the production floor. Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for build issues, test failures, or component non-conformances., • Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce cycle times, eliminate waste, improve first-pass yield (FPY), and enhance overall product quality. Basic qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field., • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required to ensure clear communication of complex technical concepts, document procedures, and collaborate with international teams., • 3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer in an electro-mechanical, aerospace, defense, or telecommunications manufacturing environment., • Demonstrated experience creating detailed visual work instructions and managing manufacturing data in ERP/PLM systems (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter, SAP, Oracle)., • Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD) for reviewing models and designing simple assembly fixtures., • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly tolerances, torque specifications, and hardware integration., • Familiarity with electronic assembly standards (such as IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001) and safe handling practices for ESD-sensitive components. Preferred skills and experience: • Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) or Master of Science (M.S.) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field., • Direct experience manufacturing RF systems, including a working understanding of RF principles (shielding, grounding, insertion loss) and how manufacturing processes impact RF performance., • Experience integrating and testing complex cooling systems (active and passive thermal management) in densely packed electronic enclosures., • Familiarity with high-voltage power supply integration and associated safety protocols in manufacturing., • Experience working in a regulated quality environment (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)., • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification., • Experience transitioning products from prototype/NPI into full-rate production. Additional requirements: • Ability to work in a mixed environment, splitting time between an office setting and active, hands-on work on the manufacturing production floor., • Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs and stand for extended periods during equipment setup, troubleshooting, or pilot builds., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to production technicians. Compensation and benefits: • Lunch card (vouchers available for each working day), • Flexible working environment (occasional home office), • 60% health insurance covered by MVG, • Life Insurance and Disability at no cost to the employee, • Company and retirement savings scheme, • Holidays vouchers, sport pass paid by CSE, • Professional development opportunities, • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects for prestigious clients, • Collaborative international working environment If you are interested in this opportunity, send a Word or PDF version of your resume to: joseph.moore@mvg-world.com
