Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned to Pearson examination boards., • Adapt curriculum content and teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with SEND, SEMH and low prior attainment., • Create a calm, consistent and emotionally safe classroom environment rooted in mutual respect., • Apply trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches to support pupil regulation and engagement., • Deliver the College curriculum in an accessible, relevant and meaningful way., • Teach Entry Level English and Health & Social Care in line with College development plans., • Work creatively to integrate learning across subjects where appropriate., • Support thematic, topic-based or cross-curricular learning models., • Assess, track and record pupil progress using formative and summative assessment methods, including EFL., • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupils’ next steps in learning., • Establish clear routines and boundaries that promote positive behaviour and engagement., • Apply College behaviour policies consistently using restorative and relational approaches., • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing within a safe, structured and nurturing environment.
