Rate: £13.17 per hour Shifts: Days I 6.00am - 6.10pm I 3 on, 3 off (11.6 hours per shift) (Weekends will be included depending how the pattern falls) Breaks – 2x 15 mins paid break, 35 minute unpaid lunch Training: For 4 weeks will be on the rotational shift of: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2.10pm then 2pm to 10.10pm We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Production Operative / Ply Cutter to join a busy manufacturing site in Chadderton. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position within a growing business that offers great stability, training, and permanent employment prospects. Key Responsibilities: • Operate various production machines safely and efficiently, including cutting, heat seaming, perforating, slitting, and stitching equipment., • Set up and run the Ply Cutter, ensuring correct start points, materials, and quantities are used., • Pick and collect materials from the warehouse and prepare them for cutting., • Lay up materials accurately, checking for any defects before production., • Input job details into the computer system and produce labels as required., • Inspect finished products and isolate any non-conforming items., • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and prepare work areas for the next shift., • Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and report any hazards immediately. What We’re Looking For: • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, • Familiarity with computer-aided machinery (CNC) – no programming needed, just system navigation, • Strong attention to detail and quality control, • Physically agile – role involves reaching, stretching, and climbing onto machinery, • Reliable, organised, and proactive team player, • Excellent communication and timekeeping skills When Permanent, You’ll Receive: • 25 days holiday plus your birthday off (after 12 months’ service), • Monthly company profit-related bonus (not guaranteed), • Standard auto-enrolment pension Sure Start Staff act as an Employment Agency for permanent roles and an Employment Business for temporary opportunities
