Wills & Probate Solicitor Location: North West (Hybrid) Salary: £28,000 - £60,000, depending on experience and seniority Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate legal professional with a passion for private client work? A highly regarded and forward-thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor to join their Private Client department. About the Role You’ll play a key role in delivering comprehensive private client services, working on a varied caseload that includes: • Drafting standard and complex Wills, including those involving trusts, businesses, and agricultural assets, • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), • Advising on inheritance tax planning, including lifetime gifting, trust creation, and Deeds of Variation, • Administering estates from start to finish, including probate applications, asset collection, and distribution, • Advising clients on implementing Will-based trusts and preparing relevant trust documentation, • Providing clear, sensitive, and empathetic advice to clients, particularly during bereavement, • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring tax compliance (IHT, CGT, and income tax), • Contributing to business development initiatives and representing the firm at events What They’re Looking For • A qualified solicitor with solid experience in wills, probate, and estate planning, • A sound understanding of inheritance tax, trusts, and estate administration, • Exceptional attention to detail and strong drafting skills, • Excellent communication and client care abilities, especially in sensitive situations, • A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous development, • Experience with high-net-worth estates, farms, or businesses is advantageous Why Join Them? • Be part of a firm recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, • Work within a culture that values innovation, client service, and ethical practice, • Access a strong support network and opportunities for long-term career development, • Enjoy flexibility in working arrangements and a balanced, people-first environment
