Role Summary And Impact The International Client Lead serves as the senior strategic partner for MGM International’s theatrical and digital distribution business. This role translates the studio’s global vision into coordinated, high‑performing media strategies that scale across regions, connect local context to global direction, and deliver consistent operational excellence allowing us to move at the speed of culture. This role partners closely with MGM’s Head of Marketing, Head of Media, title leads, and LA-based global stakeholders. This role ensures that global strategy translates into innovative, actionable, insight-led, culturally intelligent market plans; that campaign rhythms are understood and managed; and that the entire operating system functions predictably, especially during speed-sensitive periods such as trailer drops and release weeks. This position reports to the Global Prime Video Client Lead (LA) and manages leads a multi-disciplinary central team of planning, strategy, activation, ops, and insights roles. It is imperative that the Client Lead has experience within theatrical and entertainment space. Strategic Leadership & Studio Partnership • Serve as the primary day-to-day partner to MGM International senior marketing leadership., • Key leader and steward of MGM client relationships, • Translate the global theatrical and distribution vision into clear, integrated international media direction., • Lead strategic rhythms around title planning, including long-lead positioning, trailer drops, and campaign rollouts., • Provide a strong, informed perspective on audience behavior, marketplace dynamics, competitive shifts, and category trends., • Act as the link between London delivery and LA portfolio governance to maintain alignment across domestic + international., • Partner directly with studio lead to interpret Tracking, identify areas of opportunity, and recommend ensuing optimizations by market., • Support client coordination across studio marketing disciplines (PR, Creative, Partnerships, Media) acting as connective tissue with local market leads to ensure holistic, integrated campaigns., • Lead all relevant growth opportunities through WPP's media services and more widely expanding across the group's services and capabilities, • Be accountable for the commercial success of the account Global-to-Local Orchestration & Ways of Working • Establish and scale the international media model and team., • Ensure markets understand what is global, what is local, and how the pieces fit together., • Create and maintain global frameworks, planning spines, playbooks, and briefing standards., • Support markets in localizing plans using audience insights, cultural nuance, and platform realities., • Ensure that global guardrails are consistently applied, while enabling markets to adapt within the framework., • Steward process that ensures central plans are locally relevant and leverage bespoke market intelligence, • Facilitate structured knowledge flow across markets and teams, enabling fast learning and repeatable excellence. Integrated Delivery & Operational Excellence • Oversee all international campaign delivery, ensuring integration across strategy, planning, activation, and shared services., • Maintain pacing, workflow, governance, and expectations across all deliverables and campaign milestones., • Partner closely with the Operations Director to embed processes, SLAs, decision rights, and escalation paths., • Ensure that the operating model functions predictably during high-volume and high-pressure launch windows., • Monitor quality, consistency, and accuracy across all markets and touchpoints., • Clear the way for direct access to first-to-market, betas and exclusive studio opportunities through high level partner relationships, • Drive innovation for all IP by establishing coordinated global ideation processes, • Be accountable for the PBR results. Collaboration Across Teams & Stakeholders • Build strong, transparent partnerships with the global title teams, local market leads, and Amazon internal teams., • Ensure all teams work from the same strategic backbone, measurement plan, and taxonomy., • Work with activation, analytics, data science, and shared services to deliver an integrated, seamless campaign process., • Identify and remove blockers across agencies, regions, and workstreams to maintain momentum., • Oversee development of filmmaker decks across markets as required by client. Leadership of the Global Hub Team • Lead a multi-disciplinary team across strategy, planning, activation, operations, and insights., • Identify necessary talent optimizations that reflect evolving media landscape and ensuing studio priorities., • Provide clarity of roles, responsibilities, expectations, and accountabilities., • Support team development, coaching, upskilling, and career paths., • Promote an environment grounded in collaboration, transparency, and operational discipline., • Ensure the team reflects OpenDoor values: Open, Optimistic, Extraordinary. Thought Leadership & Continuous Improvement • Bring category fluency in global theatrical and entertainment marketing., • Identify opportunities for improving ways of working, cross-title leverage, tooling, analytics adoption, and global consistency., • Promote best practices, innovations, and shared learnings across the international ecosystem., • Maintain fluency in Amazon’s leadership principles and narrative-first communication., • Assist studio in franchise and genre level IP management, ensuring team carries over learnings across iterations.
