• Full‑time, • £28,000 - £32,000 DOE, • 24‑hour hospital | Varied rota with support Vets4Pets Basildon Pitsea is a busy, progressive 24‑hour veterinary hospital providing round‑the‑clock care for our local community and a growing referral caseload across South Essex. Our hospital continues to grow, with expanding nurse‑led services, inpatient care, ECC exposure, advanced imaging, and surgical support, all under one roof. We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable all‑round Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys variety and wants to be part of a hospital team where no two days are the same. • Nurse consults including booster vaccinations, weight clinics, post‑operative checks, and client education, • Inpatient and ward nursing, including monitoring and hands‑on patient care, • Theatre support across routine and more advanced procedures, • Supporting emergency and critical care alongside experienced clinicians, • Contributing to the development of nurse‑led clinics and services, • Supporting students and newly qualified colleagues where appropriate, • RCVS‑registered Veterinary Nurse, • Compassionate, reliable, and patient‑focused, • Comfortable working across different areas of nursing, • A strong team player with excellent communication skills, • Experience of clinical coaching is a requirement of the role, • Keen to develop professionally within a hospital setting (Newly qualified nurses welcome - structured support provided) • Competitive salary: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE, • Full‑time hours over 4 days, and 1 in 4 weekends, • Supportive 24‑hour hospital rota with appropriate backup, • Structured induction and ongoing mentorship, • CPD actively encouraged and supported, • Opportunities to develop areas of interest and nurse‑led services, • Paid RCVS and VDS fees, • Company benefits including staff discounts, • A welcoming, inclusive, and friendly team culture, • True hospital‑level nursing with variety and challenge, • Strong emphasis on teamwork, development, and wellbeing, • A practice where nurses’ skills and contributions are recognised and supported, • Be part of an expanding hospital with exciting plans ahead Location: SS13 3BY We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference.
