They are known for innovation, high-quality standards, and delivering complex solutions for critical programmes.\n\nThe role: \n\nOperate assembly fixtures and associated machinery\nSet up and changeover of fixtures required for build plan.\nGuage and measure and record features on products in line with process standards.\nMaintain and carry out Safety, Quality, TPM and 5 s activity.\nAttend and support team improvement activity.\nFollow company policy and procedures.\nFlexible in working practices at all times.\nFill in route cards and any other paperwork clearly as and when required, also updating MRP confirmations.\nWork at all times in an environment of continuous improvement\nWork as a team player at all times\nInspect and verify their own work with an excellent eye for detail.\nTo be able to work on own initiative\nUse cleaning equipment when required.\nPerform basic TPM activities on equipment used.\nAttend start of shift briefs and other team meetings where required\nTake part in problem solving activities and Kaizens where required \n\nQualifications and experience required:\n\nPrevious experience in manufacturing assembly process.\nAn engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although job specific training will be given.\nAbility to read and interpret Engineering drawings.\nAbility to operate various inspection and test equipment.\nAbility to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all activities.\nGood computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Q-Pulse etc).\nDemonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.\nGood oral and written communication skills are required.\nIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
