Job Title: Senior RFIC Engineer Location: Farnborough, UK (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Contract Type: Inside IR35 Duration: 6 Months Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior RFIC Engineer to take ownership of the design and verification of key RF blocks within a complex transceiver environment. This role involves end-to-end responsibility from specification review through to verification and integration. Key Responsibilities • Design and development of RF blocks including RF buffers and LO (Local Oscillator) blocks, • Review and interpret block-level specifications, • Perform schematic design, simulation, and validate compliance to specifications, • Oversee layout activities and support layout engineers, • Conduct post-layout parasitic simulations and implement design adjustments, • Lead documentation including usage guidelines and calibration requirements, • Collaborate with technical leads for system integration, • Present designs in block-level reviews, • Execute full Rx chain verification simulations, including:, • Reporting compliance to specifications, • Validating device register control settings for testing Core Competencies • Strong analogue and RFIC design expertise for sub-cells and subsystems, • Ability to solve complex technical challenges in constrained environments, • Ownership mindset with responsibility for fully verified design delivery, • Strong collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, • 5+ years’ experience in RFIC design, • Experience designing RF IP such as LO buffers and RF test circuitry, • Hands-on experience with full transceiver chain verification (RF → analogue), • Strong understanding of RFIC design principles, • Experience with Cadence or Mentor RF/Analogue IC design tools, • Experience working with advanced CMOS nodes (≤40nm), • Ability to work cross-functionally and define technical requirements Preferred Experience • Strong expertise in RFIC design and verification methodologies, • Recent experience with LO, RF buffers, or RF test design, • Advanced proficiency in Cadence RF/analogue tools, • Proven ability to work effectively in team environments, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
