The Role: Analyst 3 (Senior Analyst) We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst 3 to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 3-4 years of experience in investment banking or a related field, who is ready to take on greater responsibility and ownership across transaction execution and client engagement. Job Overview The Investment Banking Analyst (Senior/Asso1) at Alexa Capital is responsible for supporting senior bankers in the execution of complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and strategic advisory services. This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, analytical and financial modeling skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilties and Duties: • Build detailed financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement) of assets and companies, including performing analysis of investment returns (unlevered and levered IRR)., • Perform valuations analysis using a range of methodologies such as discounted cash flows, precedent transactions and public comparables., • Prepare deliverables such as sell-side marketing materials (information memorandum and teaser), buy-side analysis (including financial models, valuation and investment & credit committee papers), various presentations, financial models, valuation analysis and other deliverables., • Management of information flows such as collecting inputs from clients and third parties (e.g. vendor and buyer due diligence providers) required to prepare deliverables., • Prepare investor and buyer lists in context of business development (proposals) and active engagements., • Transactional support on active client mandates: client relationship management, project management, client communications, deal diligence support including dataroom management, coordinating meetings with clients and other project stakeholders (such as third party consultants, potential investors/buyers and their advisors), and collaborative work with deal team. This includes proactively leading and participating in client calls/meetings., • Manage, delegate and review selected workflow to junior analysts and interns, providing necessary on-going guidance and remaining fully responsible for the deliverables and quality of output., • Develop sector expertise by performing market research such as review of industry fundamentals and company mapping, including preparing target client lists, leveraging several data sources available to Alexa Capital such as Bloomberg, BNEF terminal, Pitchbook., • Support business development activities and attend conferences and other networking events representing the Alexa brand. This includes securing, building and maintaining rapport with connections in the industry., • Be a role model, coach and mentor for junior analysts and interns., • Be compliant with internal policies and procedures in accordance with both company and compliance standards. Qualifications, Skills and Experience • Proactive Self-starter with strong initiative; desire and interest in being part of an entrepreneurial collaborative team focused on building out a successful platform in the sustainability sectors., • Strong academic background including studying for, or have achieved, an MSc, MBA or equivalent., • Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent required, with experience across full M&A deal life cycle from pitching to completion., • Fluent in English; ability to communicate effectively in additional European languages is helpful., • Strong analytical and demonstratable financial modelling skills., • Good experience using Microsoft Suite Apps (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc.)., • Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyse and value businesses., • Excellent oral and written communication skills., • Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and time-management skills., • Strong team player able to work effectively and proactively in a small collaborative team environment with peers from all levels of seniority., • Displays natural intellectual curiosity and genuine interest and/or passion for the energy transition.
