Lead Cardiac Physiologist Up to £70,000 DOE + Competitive Benefits Package Central London Full-time | 4 – 5 Days We are partnering with an established private healthcare provider in Central London to appoint a Lead Cardiac Physiologist into a key, service-defining role. This is an opportunity for a BSE Accredited Echocardiographer who wants more than just a clinical post. You’ll be stepping into a position where you can influence how a cardiac diagnostics service is run, developed, and expanded over time. You’ll have the autonomy to: • Introduce new scans and diagnostic pathways, • Improve and modernise SOPs and clinical processes, • Shape team structure, standards, and development, • Contribute to longer-term growth plans across additional sites The role You’ll lead a team of 5 balancing hands-on clinical work with leadership and operational responsibility. Your remit will include: • Performing and reporting high-quality TTE studies, • Supporting and overseeing Holter ECG services, • Day-to-day team leadership, mentoring, and performance oversight, • Ownership of clinical governance, compliance, and audit processes, • Reviewing and updating SOPs to align with best practice, • Identifying opportunities to enhance and expand the service This role would suit someone who: • Is already leading or ready to step into a leadership role, • Takes pride in clinical quality and patient outcomes, • Wants to have a voice in how a service is run, • Enjoys improving processes, not just working within them, • Has an interest in building and scaling services longer term Requirements • BSE accreditation in TTE and/or Stress Echo, • Degree in Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science equivalent, • Able to independently perform a range of Cardiology investigations including Echocardiography, • Previous line management experience desired. What You’ll Do: • Provide clinical input on side effects and medication safety in collaboration with prescribers., • Oversee all repeat prescriptions (NHS and private), ensuring alignment with titration outcomes and clinical recommendations., • Support and quality-check the implementation of the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) for ADHD medications., • To participate in the development and delivery of the ADHD Service, to ensure continuity of supply of medicines and support patients as they move between episodes of care and care settings., • Liaise with the in-house cardiac physiologist to assess and coordinate further investigations (e.g., ECG) prior to medication initiation when required., • Assist in policy and procedure implementation within the pharmacy team., • Review all medication use regularly, actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, ensure optimum administration times, documentation of doses outside normal limits, appropriate blood tests carried out. What We’re Looking For: • Completion of an accredited Independent Prescribing (IP) course and have at least 2 years of post-qualification prescribing experience in ADHD medications (both stimulant and non-stimulant)., • Demonstrated experience in prescribing ADHD medications (both stimulant and non-stimulant), and a range of mental health medications, including; antipsychotics, antidepressants and anxiolytics as part of clinical practice., • Postgraduate qualification in mental health therapeutics, or willing to study for such., • Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (includes Degree in pharmacy, one-year preregistration training and final examination)., • Experience of using CRM Tools, • Clear understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality in all areas of work including phone conversations, written materials and computerised materials and processes., • In-depth knowledge of ADHD medications, including their mechanisms, side effects, and appropriate use It is important to note, that this is not a patient facing role.
