Delivery Driver – Operations \n £26,440 per annum \n Full Time; Permanent position \n We are looking for a Driver to be responsible for all collections and deliveries, whilst assisting with the processing of the shipments on return to the warehouse in the evening. \n Hours: 10am till finish, 7pm (sometimes earlier); Monday to Friday \n Due to the nature of the role, there may be a requirement for some hours to be worked outside of normal business hours. These will be paid. \n Experience and Personal Attributes Required \n We are looking for a dependable and professional individual with a proven history of reliability, commitment, and excellent attendance throughout their career. \n Essential Requirements: \n\n • Stable employment history demonstrating loyalty, commitment, and longevity with previous employers.\n, • Excellent sickness and attendance record, with a track record of reliability and punctuality.\n, • Able to provide outstanding employment references from previous employers that confirm work ethic, reliability, honesty, and performance.\n, • Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points.\n, • Previous professional driving experience is essential and the ability to work effectively under time-sensitive conditions.\n, • Confidence and experience driving a short wheelbase van or similar commercial vehicle.\n, • Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual handling and lifting duties as required.\n, • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an excellent command of the English language.\n, • Professional, smart, and well-presented always, taking pride in both personal appearance and customer service standards.\n, • Honest, trustworthy, and able to handle customer goods with care and responsibility.\n, • Able to work effectively as part of a small team whilst following company procedures and operational processes.\n, • Flexible approach to work and willing to support the wider operation when required.\n, • Clean criminal record.\n\n Desirable: \n\n • Previous courier, logistics, or transport operations experience.\n, • Experience working within a customer-facing role where professionalism and service excellence were essential.\n\n Key Personal Qualities \n The successful candidate will be known for their: \n\n • Exceptional reliability and dependability.\n, • Consistent attendance and punctuality.\n, • Long-term commitment to previous employers.\n, • Positive, can-do attitude.\n, • Strong work ethic and willingness to support colleagues.\n, • Ability to build excellent relationships with customers and team members.\n, • Professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.\n\n Please note: Candidates with a stable work history, excellent attendance record, and strong, verifiable employment references will be viewed favourably, as reliability and trustworthiness are critical to the success of this role. \n Responsibilities: \n\n • Delivering and collection of customer goods in an efficient, friendly manner, always with a can-do attitude.\n, • Checking and scanning of all consignments at time of collection or delivery, ensuring that all information matches, and reporting any discrepancies immediately.\n, • Ensuring accurate recording of POD information upon deliveries and taking photographic evidence.\n, • Assisting Operations team during evening operation; weighing packages / bagging up / data processing / labelling / dropping into Agents/Partners.\n, • Building relationships with clients by maintaining a professional, friendly, and courteous manner always.\n, • Lodging at wholesale agents in accordance with cut-off times as and when required.\n, • Checking to ensure that no packages are left over in the evening and if so, actioning immediately.\n, • Liaising with transport / operations to ensure maximum efficiency during the working day.\n, • Unloading of vehicle upon arrival at Colnbrook facility and sorting the shipments in accordance with their destination and service type.\n, • Ensuring van is kept clean and tidy, and always completing a vehicle check list every Monday morning.\n, • Company uniform must be always worn, and you must be presentable, neat and tidy always.\n, • To maintain a safe level of driving always, keeping traffic offences / fines and accidents to a minimum, and reporting these as soon as they happen.\n\n Experience Essential: \n\n • Fit and healthy – some manual work and lifting is required.\n, • Previous driving experience is essential and able to work to tight deadlines.\n, • UK Driving license with no more than 3 points.\n, • Experience / confidence of driving a short wheel-based van, or something similar.\n, • Courier operations experience preferred but not essential.\n, • Must be smart, clean and tidy and take pride in their appearance.\n, • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good command of the English language.\n, • No criminal record.\n, • Must be able to provide good references.\n, • A stable work history with good sickness record.\n, • Be reliable and trustworthy.\n, • Able to work well in a small team and follow all company processes.\n, • Have a friendly and can-do attitude always.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • £26,440 per annum – plus potential overtime\n, • 4 weeks holidays, including bank holidays\n, • Pension\n, • Use of company van to travel to and from work\n, • Small, friendly working environment\n, • Uniform provided that must be always worn\n
