Self-Employed Electrician – Domestic & Commercial Location: Based in Sydenham, South East London (covering London & surrounding areas) Employment Type: Subcontractor / Self-Employed Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch; occasional weekend work and overtime available) Start Date: Immediate start available Salary/Rate: £200 a day (depending on experience and scope) Company Overview:We are a family-run electrical installation company based in South East London. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a fully qualified and experienced self-employed electrician to join our expanding team on a long-term basis. Role Summary:You will be responsible for a broad range of electrical work across residential and commercial environments. This includes installations, fault-finding, EICR testing, and remedial work. The role requires someone who can work independently, maintain a professional appearance, communicate effectively, and deliver work to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Electrical installation of sockets, lighting, consumer units, and full property rewires Conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated remedial works Fault-finding, diagnostics, and rectification of issues in domestic and commercial environments Compliance with BS7671 and all relevant electrical standards Completion of all test certificates and documentation to a high standard using provided software Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment and ensuring excellent client communication Occasional emergency call-outs and weekend availability as required Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 3) City & Guilds 2391 and 2377 (or equivalent) Valid ECS Gold Card Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in domestic and commercial electrical work Capable of coding EICRs and completing certification accurately Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills Own tools and calibrated testing equipment Full UK Driving Licence Must be based in London and willing to travel What We Provide: Company van and fuel card Uniform, PPE, and tablet/laptop for certification Ongoing pipeline of work, Monday to Friday Support with certification and admin tasks Professional, supportive working environment Same-day interviews available Job Type: Full-time Pay: £200 per day Benefits: Company car Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: On the road
