Role Purpose • To support the development of WE Soda’s Commercial Strategy by monitoring and interpreting key industry, market, and economic trends that impact the business across the commercial value chain., • To support the successful execution of WE Soda’s Commercial Strategy by delivering market-driven insights and competitor analysis that inform business development initiatives and enhance returns, with a focus on the individual’s assigned region., • To enable alignment between regional sales, supply chain, and production teams, with a focus on strengthening collaboration between regional operations and global business objectives and purpose. Key Responsibilities • Support the development of industry outlook for soda ash and other chemical products, with a strong understanding of macro-and microeconomics drivers., • Monitor, identify, and report on key leading and lagging micro-economic indicators and analyse their implication for the business (SWOT), • Collaborate with the Mine-to-Market Supply Analyst to track sales, supply, demand, and pricing data., • Drive cross-functional alignment across Sales, Logistics, S&OP, Sustainability and Legal to improve value creation and recognition, and drive process improvements that contribute to margin enhancement., • Assist in preparing presentations and key documentation, including commercial strategy, Board meeting reports, monthly/quarterly/annual budget reviews, sales forecasts, conference papers, and analyst meeting materials., • Lead and support ad hoc commercial projects across corporate function teams (Supply Chain, Finance, IR, Legal etc.), including market deep dives, supply chain initiatives, commercial partnerships, capital-raising initiatives, M&A support and investor engagement as required. Essential Skills and Qualifications • Degree in an analytical discipline (a STEM degree preferred), • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex market indicators, supply chain data, and financial reports, and translate insights into clear, compelling recommendations., • Comfortable working in collaborative, international, and fast changing environment, • Capable of delivering high-quality outputs under time constraints., • Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Required Experience • 3-7 years of experience in a similar or relevant commercial or marketing role., • Experience in trading and financial analysis., • Experience in industrial minerals, either in strategy or marketing., • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables., • Experience managing or contributing to data management projects.
