What you’ll be doing You’ll gain hands-on engineering experience while working closely with senior management, seeing how technical decisions are made and owned at company level. Technical & Systems Engineering • Support the design, testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of security and monitoring systems, • Work across electrical, electronic, mechanical, and system-level designs, • Assist with configuration, integration, and fault diagnosis of alarm and monitoring systems, • Develop the ability to take technical ownership of live products and systems Production, Assembly & Quality • Support production and assembly activities, • Help define and improve assembly instructions and test procedures, • Assist with quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, • Gain visibility of how engineering decisions affect manufacturing, cost, and reliability Testing, Safety & Compliance • Support testing of safety-critical electronic systems, • Assist in ensuring products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements Field, Customers & Suppliers • Support field deployments, installations, diagnostics, and fault resolution, • Attend supplier and customer visits alongside senior management, gaining early exposure to commercial and operational realities, • Assist with technical demonstrations, customer discussions, and technical support Development & Progression • Learn how products and engineering strategy are developed from concept to deployment, • Gain direct insight into technical, commercial, and risk-based decision-making, • Progress towards full technical ownership and leadership responsibility based on performance, not time served Who we’re looking for We are deliberately selective. This role is for graduates who expect a lot from themselves and are comfortable operating close to decision-makers.
