The Role The SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining effective safety, health, environment, and quality management systems within the organisation. This position is responsible for collating data and information to proactively report SHEQ performance to all internal and external stakeholders, plus promoting a positive safety culture. Responsibilities • Act as first point of contact for all queries from both inside and outside of the Company in relation to permits, damages, and discoveries ensuring all are logged, • Maintenance of the SHEQ Email inbox, • Maintenance of Customer Communication Log, • Manage the Non-Compliance Report (NCR) Log, • Manage Site Specific Risk Assessments (SSRAs) are completed and returned to SHEQ department, • Run and review the apprentice report to ensure all pathways and welfare checks have been completed, • Diarising all Group SHEQ/Operational meeting forums and whereabouts, • Collating weekly information, such as HR & Plant management meeting slides, liability registers, damages and discoveries, • Minute-taking, • Documenting SHEQ safety alerts, • Managing document control across the Group, • Logging site audits, • Organising and distributing accolades including rewards Personal Qualities • Verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to build rapport, • Professional and polite, • Attention to detail, • Time management, • Adaptability, • Filing and organisation skills, • Prioritising and multi-tasking whilst working to tight timescales Technical Skills & Experience • 1-2 years administration experience, • Experience within a SHEQ environment is beneficial Qualifications & Training • GCSEs Grade 4-9 or equivalent Additional Information Doocey Group value a diverse workforce and welcome applications form all sections of the community, regardless of any protected characteristics. The Role As our Plant & Transport Compliance Manager, you play a critical role in ensuring full compliance across our fleet and plant operations. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of legal, safety and operational compliance in line with regulatory frameworks and will work closely with our Plant and Health & Safety teams to implement robust procedures, manage audits and drive continuous improvement across our vehicle and equipment operations. Responsibilities • Ensure all transport operations adhere to relevant legal and safety regulations, including hours of service, vehicle maintenance and driver qualifications, • Oversee vehicle maintenance, ensuring all vehicles and plant are serviced and maintained to the specification outlined under the manufactured guidelines and Operator licence conditions, • Ensure drivers have the necessary licences, are properly trained, and comply with all regulations regarding hours of service and working time rules, • Liaise with relevant third-party service providers to ensure all daily defects, breakdowns and punctures on our vehicles and plant are registered and dealt with in the relevant timeframe, • Manage the yearly maintenance planner, • Manage vehicle requirements for all relevant departments across specific contracts, • Ensure compliance with legislative obligations of the Operator’s licence within the defined area/region, • Highlight, record and notify the relevant managers of any departments failing to comply with the Company Policies and Directives relating to Road Transport and Dangerous Goods, • Maintain an updated fleet inventory and fixed asset register including current asset locations, • Communicate compliance requirements to drivers and other staff members, • Ensure all MOT results are reported, and any failures are investigated The Person • Dynamic: Energised by fast-paced environments while remaining focused, organised and effective when working to tight deadlines, • Detail-Oriented: Notices small details that others might miss, • Highly Organised: Great at keeping on top of multiple deadlines, audits, reports and policy updates, • Strong Communicator: Can confidently explain compliance procedures to drivers, managers and external auditors, whether coaching someone on best practices or enforcing policies, • Decisive & Assertive: Not afraid to step in when something isn’t right, ensuring all rules are adhered to without compromise, • Proactive Problem-Solver: Comfortable investigating root-causes and implementing preventative measures, not just responding to issues when they occur, • Team Player: Work well with operations, drivers, maintenance and Health & Safety teams to ensure compatibility with other departments Technical Skills & Experience • Previous experience working as a Transport Compliance Manager, or similar role within a fast-paced and dynamic business, • Knowledge of UK and EU road transport legislation including those related to vehicle maintenance, driver qualifications and hours of service Qualifications & Training • Holding a Transport Manager CPC will be beneficial but isn’t essential Additional Information Doocey Group value a diverse workforce and welcome applications form all sections of the community, regardless of any protected characteristics.
