The post holder must be female SALARY: £25,282 (unqualified) to £30,304 (qualified) per annum + Benefits LOCATION: Walsall, West Midlands JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (37.5 hours per week) JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join a multi-disciplinary safeguarding team supporting families at risk. Working closely with children’s social care and partner agencies, the Domestic Abuse Practitioner will deliver trauma-informed support, risk assessment and safety planning to individuals experiencing domestic abuse. As a Domestic Abuse Practitioner you will manage a varied caseload, contribute to child protection plans and work collaboratively to improve outcomes for children, young people and adults. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through integrated working, empowering individuals and promoting long-term resilience. DUTIES Your duties as the Domestic Abuse Practitioner include: • Case Management: Hold and manage a caseload, completing risk assessments, safety planning and regular reviews, • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with social care, probation, health and other professionals to deliver coordinated support, • Support Delivery: Provide practical and emotional support to victims and their children using a trauma-informed approach, • Safeguarding Practice: Contribute to child protection and child in need plans, ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met, • Risk Assessment: Identify and respond to escalating risks, ensuring timely interventions and safety measures, • Advocacy: Support individuals in accessing housing, legal advice, benefits and other essential services, • Group Facilitation: Deliver group programmes to raise awareness of healthy relationships and the impact of abuse, • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential case records in line with organisational and GDPR requirements, • Partnership Engagement: Attend case conferences, reviews and multi-agency meetings as required, • Service Development: Contribute to continuous improvement, sharing best practice and supporting innovation CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL • Please note: Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
