Accounts Manager – Aberdeen Aberdeen Hybrid & Flexible Working Competitive Salary + Benefits We’re recruiting an Accounts Manager in Aberdeen on behalf of a highly regarded and forward-thinking accountancy practice with a strong focus on Family Office, High Net Worth individuals, and Landed Estates. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to manage a prestigious private client portfolio, deliver tailored advisory services, and play a key role in a collaborative and specialist team. The Role As Accounts Manager, you will take ownership of a specialist portfolio primarily comprising Family Office structures, High Net Worth individuals, trusts, and Landed Estates. You will be responsible for the timely and profitable delivery of work across a broad service offering, including: • Year-end statutory accounts, • Management accounts, • Personal and corporate tax compliance, • VAT returns, • Trust and estate reporting You will act as a trusted adviser and key point of contact, building long-term relationships with clients and their wider professional advisers, including solicitors and wealth managers. Working closely with internal tax and advisory Specialists, you’ll coordinate technical input on matters such as inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and structuring to ensure a seamless and high-quality service. You will also review work prepared by assistants and seniors, providing technical oversight, mentoring, and constructive feedback to maintain exceptional standards. Portfolio management responsibilities will include client onboarding, fee preparation, and proactive WIP and debt management. About You You will be ICAS or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong experience in a UK accountancy practice environment. Ideally, you will have experience working with High Net Worth individuals, landed estates, trusts, or complex private client structures. You will be confident overseeing both accounts and tax matters and understand the discretion, attention to detail, and relationship management required when advising private wealth clients.
