Payroll Administrator - Temp - 1-3 Months Hays Non-Qualified Finance are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator on behalf of a well-established organisation in Swansea. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-driven organisation in a varied role supporting the delivery of accurate and timely payroll processes, ensuring compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement across the payroll function. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the end-to-end payroll cycle, maintaining accurate employee records, and providing a high level of service to colleagues across the organisation. Key responsibilities and experience required include: • Supporting the monthly payroll process, including starters, leavers, and pay adjustments, • Maintaining accurate payroll records in collaboration with HR, • Processing time and attendance data (e.g. clocking in/out) within payroll systems, • Assisting with payroll journals, reconciliations, and control accounts, • Handling employee queries relating to pay, deductions, and payslips, • Supporting statutory submissions to HMRC (FPS, EPS), • Assisting with pension processing across multiple sites, • Uploading payslips and supporting secure payroll distribution, • Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies, • Maintaining organised and auditable payroll records, • Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies, • Supporting audit requests and payroll-related data analysis, • Contributing to continuous improvement within payroll processes The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential information, and excellent organisational and communication skills. Candidates should be confident using payroll systems (experience with iTrent is highly desirable) and Excel, and be able to manage competing priorities effectively.
