Client Account Manager – Coventry (On-site / Hybrid)\n Salary: £30–35k (DOE)\n Holiday: 30 days\n Type: Full-time, permanent\n\nWe are working with a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Coventry, supporting a diverse client base including SMEs and international businesses. The firm operates within a fully digital, cloud-based environment and places a strong emphasis on quality, communication, and collaborative working.\n\nOur client is seeking an experienced Client Account Manager to join their growing team. This is a hands-on position offering responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients while working closely with both junior staff and senior leadership.\n\nRole Overview\n\nManage a portfolio of clients (limited companies and sole traders, including dentists)\nAct as the main day-to-day point of contact for clients\nWork within a pod structure (4–5 people), reporting to a senior manager\nReview and oversee bookkeeping work\nPrepare VAT returns, statutory accounts, and tax returns\nAssist with and prepare management accounts and financial reporting\nEnsure all client deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard\nLiaise with internal team members to manage workflow and resolve queries\nSupport and develop junior members of the team\nContribute to tax planning and advisory work where appropriate\nSystems\n\nXero (regular, hands-on use required)\nDext\nAccounts preparation software\nFully cloud-based / paperless environment\nTaxCalc\nCandidate Requirements\n\nApproximately 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice\nACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE\nConfident, day-to-day user of Xero (not just exposure)\nStrong experience with cloud-based accounting tools\nExcellent written and verbal English (essential for client communication)\nAbility to review work, provide guidance, and support junior staff\nHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines\nKey Behaviours\n\nTakes ownership of work and sees tasks through to completion\nOpen to feedback and direction\nCommunicates clearly with both clients and colleagues\nComfortable working in a fully digital environment
