About the Role DP World’s Bicester site is a specialist hub supporting major record labels and entertainment clients. As Site Manager, you’ll be the senior leader driving a fast‑paced, high‑performance operation where service reliability, rapid decision‑making, and strong commercial focus are essential. How You Will Contribute • Serve as the senior operational lead for music‑industry customers, building strong relationships and supporting commercial reviews, negotiations, and service discussions., • Ensure operational decisions balance service quality, customer needs, and commercial outcomes., • Lead daily performance of a fast‑paced, time‑critical distribution site, making quick, informed decisions and flexing plans around release cycles and peak demand., • Drive service, productivity, safety, and quality KPIs while resolving operational issues at root cause., • Own site P&L, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and management of out‑of‑scope work; support commercial teams on pricing and contracts., • Build a high‑performance culture with clear expectations, strong leadership development, talent pipelines, and high engagement., • Lead continuous improvement, site readiness for new services, and operational changes, working cross‑functionally to enhance value for customers., • Ensure full compliance with Safety, Quality, Security, Customs, environmental and corporate governance standards while overseeing facility management and alignment with regional teams. What You Will Bring Essential • Senior leadership experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations., • Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting customer negotiations or service-based contracts., • Experience working in customer-facing operational roles with high service expectations., • Proven ability to make sound decisions quickly in fast-moving environments., • Track record of building and leading high-performing teams and site culture., • Strong financial understanding (budgets, cost control, performance drivers)., • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Desirable • Experience in music, media, retail, or other demand-volatile supply chains., • Exposure to working with brand owners, rights holders, or commercial clients with time-critical product cycles., • Experience in 3PL or contract logistics. Pay Rate: £Various - depending on store Role Summary: The position requires officers to have exceptional customer service and be well presented at all times. The purpose of the role is the safety and security of people, property and assets. Being positive, great customer service and effective communication skills are crucial when interacting with the customer, the public and emergency services. The need to be visible, professionally presented and responsive supports the success of the security function. Customers rely on security to identify risks that threaten their business and reputation and take the appropriate action. There is requirement to engage with continuous training, as policy, procedures and technology evolves in the security environment. Responsibilities * Wear the correct uniform, PPE, SIA Badge and always be presented clean and smart. * Demonstrate excellent customer service and engage with every person positively. * Carry out all duties in accordance with the Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessment. * Follow relevant customer policy and procedures. * Utilise access controls systems and ensure the integrity of building perimeter security. * Utilise CCTV, systems and alarms to monitor and detect risk and suspicious activity. * Deter crime and anti-social behaviour through awareness of behaviour and intelligence. * Carry our relevant testing of security and safety systems. * Perform internal and external patrols as required. * Report incidents in an accurate and timely manner, follow the correct escalation model. * Collaborate with the Emergency Services, including detection and protection of evidence. * Support the customers brand and culture and follow any reasonable requests. Person Specification * SIA Licence for specific site (Door Supervision) * Previous security experience within a luxury or high value retail environment as advantageous. * Conscientious, alert and a strong attention to detail. * Adapts to changing priorities and is flexible and collaborative. * Punctual, reliable, committed, demonstrating respect for colleagues. * Highest standards of integrity, maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive information. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. * Responds well to positive change and innovation.
