Door Engineer Lancashire/Yorkshire/Midlands Basic salary £35,000 - £41,000 A national automatic and industrial door systems specialist is looking to expand and is therefore, targeting an Engineer based in the North to join their team. The company has been established for over twenty years and have a respected name in the automatic door, industrial door, gate, and barrier industries. The package includes a basic salary of up to £38,610, company van with personal use, premium overtime rates, and more. Over the last five years, they have accelerated growth plans, opening new offices and have doubled their Engineer head count. We have been fortunate enough to work with this client on an exclusive basis for many years. Having placed over 15 Engineers with them, we have a solid insight into the organisation. As a Door Engineer, you will be responsible for: • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide of industrial doors including roller shutters, sectional doors, speed doors, overhead doors, shop fronts, and occasionally loading bay equipment., • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, Horton, Label, and more., • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing gates, barriers, and perimeter security equipment, • Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment., • Basic electrical wiring., • Adhering to BS EN 16005 standards., • Planning daily works., • Quoting and ordering parts. The successful door Engineer will have: • Experience working for an EN 16005 recognised automatic door company., • Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic and industrial door systems., • Experience working on gates, barriers, and perimeter security equipment, • A valid EN 16005 certificate, or at least have held one in the past., • A clean driving licence., • A CSCS Card. Experience, knowledge and understanding • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Regional/area sales management role., • Demonstrate knowledge and confidence in dealing with colleagues to ensure they are following correct procedures., • Good knowledge and understanding of customer concepts and use of relationship database (Insightly or equivalent)., • Understanding and achieving Key Performance Indicators., • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Programmes (in particular, Microsoft Excel)., • Experience working with confidential information and within the parameters non-disclosure agreements., • Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment (D).
