Instrument Technician Circa £45,000 – £55,000 + Benefits (Permanent) Hampshire We are recruiting an Instrumentation Technician to deliver maintenance and support across Heavy Industrial Facilities. This is a hands-on, safety-critical role working across instrumentation systems in a highly regulated and heavy industrial facility. PACKAGE DETAILS • Salary £45,000 – £55,000 per annum, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Flexible benefits and training opportunities, • Overtime available, • Long-term role in a growing engineering services environment KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems, • Service process control equipment: transmitters, controllers, analysers, • Support installation, commissioning, and plant upgrades, • Assist vendor service engineers and specialist contractors, • Carry out equipment isolations for safe maintenance, • Respond to out-of-hours call-outs and plant breakdowns, • Maintain site services to safe and operational standards, • Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with permits, • Keep facilities clean, tidy and hazard-free, • Participate in training to improve technical knowledge and efficiency REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS • 4–5 years’ experience in electrical/instrumentation maintenance, • Instrumentation qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3), • Heavy industrial and/or process industry experience preferred, • Able to work independently and in a team, • Strong problem-solving, reliability, and attention to detail, • Pro-active, able to prioritise tasks under pressure, • IT literate and able to maintain accurate records, • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in critical processes TO APPLY Send your CV for a confidential discussion.
