Nursery Manager\n\n£45,000 to £50,000\n\nLocation: Basingstoke \n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nWe are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a high‑quality early years setting. This is a key leadership role, responsible for providing strong operational, pedagogical, and strategic direction while promoting the nursery's values, ethos, and reputation.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Nursery Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding for every child.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLeadership & Staff Management\n\nRecruit, induct, and manage staff in line with safer recruitment practices\nProvide strong, visible, and supportive leadership to the nursery team\nEnsure effective staff deployment, rotas, and ratio compliance\nMonitor performance, support professional development, and promote best practiceSafeguarding & Compliance\n\nAct as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)\nEnsure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and all statutory guidance\nMaintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare\nEnsure policies and procedures are consistently implemented across the settingQuality of Education & Child Development\n\nEnsure high-quality teaching, learning, and care throughout the nursery\nMonitor and improve practice across all rooms\nOversee observation, assessment, and planning processes\nSupport children's learning, development, wellbeing, and early intervention\nPromote inclusive practice, supporting children with additional needsOperational & Financial Management\n\nTake responsibility for day‑to‑day operational and financial management\nIdentify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and occupancy\nContribute to strategic planning and support nursery growthPartnerships & Engagement\n\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers\nManage enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally\nSupport marketing activity, including open days and nursery tours\nWork collaboratively with the wider school and estate team\nSupport children's transitions, including transition into school where applicable\n\nAbout You\n\nA qualified and experienced early years professional with strong leadership experience\nIn‑depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding\nHighly organised, resilient, and confident with excellent communication skills\nCommitted to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families\n\nWhat's On Offer\n\nA leadership role with real influence and autonomy\nA supportive and professional working environment\nThe opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development \n\nIf you are Interested in this role please contact Giles or Nick for further details on (phone number removed)\n\nBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
