We have an exciting opportunity for an Inspection Manager to lead our quality team at our brand-new manufacturing facility in Basingstoke. The role: As Inspection Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control function to support business needs. Key duties and responsibilities: • Ensuring all manufactured parts are inspected in accordance with internal documentation and requirements., • Creating Quality Inspection Plans and Inspection Logs., • Leading MRB meetings and coordinating with Engineering Authorities for technical authority dispositions., • Supporting NPD projects in terms of verification & validation of products and processes., • Managing calibration of equipment used in the manufacturing sites and clinics., • Completing GRR studies on critical metrology equipment., • Conducting Risk Assessments on QC working environments., • Driving improvements in both product and process initiatives., • Monitoring key performance indicators and setting team objectives to improve., • Working closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning & Logistics to ensure that customer demands, both internal and external, are met., • Supporting Internal audits., • Planning TPM requirements for critical metrology equipment., • Maintaining Training Matrix for the Department and identifying gaps in training needs. What are we looking for? As Inspection Manager, you will have the following: Key skills and experience: • HNC / Degree in Mechanical Engineering., • Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems., • Trained Internal ISO9001: 2015 or ISO13485:2016 Auditor, • Previous experience in a machining and milling environment, ideally within medical devices, Defence, Aerospace or Automotive Industry. Demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing process and capabilities., • Familiarity with GDT and able to use a variety of metrology equipment, from micrometre to CMM/VMM, • Previous management and leadership experience, • Strong communication skills, • Ability to delegate, • Leads by example, • Excellent team player.
