Maintenance Engineer – 12 Month FTC Location: Lymedale, Stoke-on-Trent Salary: Up to £47,000 (including shift allowance) + Overtime Shifts: 12-hour days & nights (including weekends) Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Motiontech is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to support one of the UK's most advanced automated logistics facilities. Key Responsibilities: Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated material handling systems Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, minimising downtime Conduct fault finding on electrical, mechanical and PLC-controlled equipment Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics and automated handling systems Use CMMS to record maintenance activity and track performance data This is a hands-on engineering role in a technically advanced automation environment. What We're Looking For We are seeking a proactive, adaptable Maintenance Engineer with strong diagnostic capability and experience in automated or fast-paced production/logistics environments. Essential Skills & Experience: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in logistics, automation, FMCG, manufacturing or similar Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience working with: Conveyors and automated material handling systems Motors, drives, gearboxes and pneumatics PLC-controlled equipment (fault finding level) Experience using CMMS systems Flexible to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights) Strong commitment to safe working practices Multi-skilled engineers (electrical bias or mechanical bias) are encouraged to apply. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join our site Engineering team on our Fridge plant in Telford. At AO Recycling, we are committed to extracting as much value as possible from the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that is thrown away by UK households every year. We are growing rapidly and so with that, opportunities to develop and try new approaches become aplenty. If you are energetic, hands-on, innovative, and professional, this is the environment for you. Our fully automated fridge recycling plant is the most efficient and advanced in the UK and sets a new standard in recovering metals, plastics, and gases. It processes 100 fridges per hour, 700,000 per year. Our second site is a fully automated plastic recycling facility where we combine sink-float technology and electrostatic separation to turn mixed fridge plastics into high-quality recycled products. As AO's new Maintenance Technician, you will play a massive part in keeping our plant one of the most efficient and advanced in the UK. That means overseeing work to the plant, delivering planned maintenance schedules, and getting stuck in with improvement projects to drive the plant's reliability and keep costs down.
