🔧 Electrically Biased Machine Tool Service Engineer 📍 North West UK (Manchester & surrounding areas) 🚐 Field-Based | Door-to-Door Pay | Overtime Available We are working with a well-established and highly respected UK engineering organisation that supports a wide range of industrial and precision manufacturing customers. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an Electrically Biased Machine Tool Service Engineer to their UK field service team. This is a customer-facing role offering long-term stability, excellent earning potential, and strong career progression. 🔩 The Role As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and installing CNC machine tools at customer sites across the North West. Key responsibilities include: • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown support, • Electrical fault-finding across CNC machine tools, • Diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, • Machine installations, commissioning, removals & relocations, • Providing high-level technical support on-site and remotely, • Completing service reports and documentation accurately, • Representing the business professionally on customer sites ⚙️ What We’re Looking For Essential: • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Technician, • Strong electrical bias with hands-on fault-finding experience, • Background working on CNC machines or similar industrial equipment, • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams & OEM manuals, • Excellent customer-facing communication skills, • Experience with CNC brands such as Correa, CMZ, GER, Meco, Geminis, or Honor Seiki, • PLC, servo drive, motor & controller knowledge, • Installation & commissioning experience, • Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering qualifications ⏱ Hours & Pay • Mon–Thu: 08:00–17:00 (30-min unpaid lunch), • Fri: 08:00–12:00, • 38 hours per week, • Mon–Fri (outside normal hours): 1.333x, • Saturday: 1.5x, • Sunday: 2x 🎁Benefits Package • Company van (Ford Transit – personal use optional, P11D applies), • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, • Private healthcare (after 6 months, family options available), • Pension: 5% employee / 8% employer, • Company bonus scheme, • Laptop, mobile phone & full tool package, • Expenses covered (fuel cards, hotels, subsistence), • Ongoing manufacturer & in-house training 🔍 Ideal Attributes • Professional, reliable & safety-focused, • Strong troubleshooting mindset, • Comfortable working independently, • Willing to travel and work flexibly when required 📩 Interested?
