As a Stores Assistant/Delivery Driver, you will be based at our Leeds Office, responsible for assisting with all goods being received or dispatched by the Stores team. This extends to the packing up of goods, ensuring the items are in good condition, the paperwork is accurate and any records held reflect the current stock levels in the regional Stores locations. You will also deliver parts to our Stores network or customer sites in a company van, ensuring all deliveries are safe, secure and timely. This role will include but is not limited to the areas below: - Ordering of stock and distributing to Engineers and sites as required. - Oversee and monitor the receipt, order and dispatch of goods. - Receiving goods and checking against orders inspecting for any damage. - Collecting returns from the Stores Network/Sites and ensure they are returned to Stores Head Office in a timely manner. - Ensure the stock levels are maintained at the regional Stores locations. - Ensure stock accuracy is maintained at all times. - Ensure the Stores are kept clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety requirements. - Dispatch of equipment in accordance with deadlines. - Ensuring records are kept up to date on Simpro System (Previous knowledge would be helpful but training provided). - Prepare and process purchase orders when required. - Checking and saving order acknowledgements received from suppliers, (ensuring delivery address, quantities and costs are correct to our PO) to the relevant PO. - Checking order updates received, advising relevant department of any delays to delivery dates availability etc and saving to the PO for future reference. - Chasing suppliers for outstanding deliveries not received, updating relevant engineering department and saving correspondence to order. - Good receiving delivery notes received from Engineers and saving the document into the PO in the current software system. - Assisting and working towards group recycling management system. Required Skills: -Good attention to detail. -The ability to work alone occasionally. -Effectively managing your workload and your time. -A good team player. -A full driving licence and a willingness to travel to locations across the country in a company van. -Capable of lifting bulky items. -Excellent timekeeping and time management skills. -Experience in Excel, Word and software systems. -Experience with Simpro and Hilti is preferred but not required. -Willingness to go the extra mile. -A desire to ensure EDSB delivers excellent client service. Self-motivated, demonstrating professionalism, positivity and proactiveness in all your tasks. Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 45 minute lunch break.
