Alongside design, deployment and testing; they constantly look into ways to improve efficiency through tooling and the automation of repetitive tasks. They collaborate daily with delivery managers and customer success to onboard new sites as well as support the existing. Integration design ownership & review: With minimal oversight, analyse provided information to formulate hardware and software integration approaches. When necessary, exchange information with customer technical representatives through meetings and emails. Review and discuss integration designs, considering the remainder of the integration cycle with other team members. Technical leadership & decisions: Make well-reasoned technical decisions and trade-offs for the wider team, provide technical advice on discussions that affect other teams or the company at large, and own the new and unique challenges, a change in our design or a completely new type of asset integration, driving them independently from start to finish. Domain expertise (SME): Be the point of contact/SME for at least one technical area. This could include knowledge of grid regulations (G99, G100, Grid Code etc.), energy markets, multi BMUs, industrial communication protocols, industrial networking, internet of things, cyber security and so on. Gateway application & configuration: The role will be interdisciplinary. There will be opportunities to learn how the Gateway software (developed by an internal software team) works and how it is configured. You will be expected to understand the requirements for an integration and judge if the gateway software is able to support it or will need new development work. The team will help you get gateway configuration literate and you will be expected to carry out deployments and changes as necessary. Networking and cyber security: Develop hardware and network connectivity designs, constantly thinking about our own cyber security posture as well as addressing the concerns from the customers with the support of the internal security team. Asset integration: Experience integrating BESS (grid-scale and/or C&I) and/or RES (Wind and Solar) for telemetry and control.
