Sales Assistant ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF JOB Part of the HENI group since 2016, Prudence Cuming was established in 1967 as a photographic studio specialising in fine art. Prudence Cuming works with museums, institutions, artists, designers and private collectors, and has a wealth of experience photographing objects ranging from paintings to sculpture and luxury goods. Prudence Cuming provides a complete and bespoke photographic service, including photography, filming, retouching, 3D Design, scanning and digital printing. We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our studio – this is a great opportunity to shape a brand-new position from the ground up, to drive Prudence’s growth and profitability through strategic client development and relationship management. You'll work closely with our Sales Manager to expand our client base and maximize revenue opportunities. This role will be based in central London, either at our studio in Mayfair or on client visits. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES Client Development & Sales • Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects and leads, through strategic outreach via email, calls, and in-person visits., • Confidently pitch our services to senior decision-makers including gallery directors, collection managers and luxury brand representatives., • Maintain and update a CRM system, ensuring all client information is recorded., • Manage incoming and new enquiries, working closely with Sales Manager to advise on quotes and pricing., • Gain a deep understanding of the business, customer behaviour, and the market to shape how we navigate our sales strategy., • Monitor and nurture the existing clients in the business, finding opportunities for upselling and maximizing client revenue., • Support with the creation of all branded content, from portfolios to leaflets and social posts., • Explore opportunities to widen our client base and visibility within the market, such as events and partnerships with art service providers., • Liaise with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of services to clients., • Represent the business at events such as Art Fairs. Performance & Reporting • Track and achieve sales targets with regular reporting on performance metrics., • Produce data-driven insights on client behaviour and market trends., • Reporting on changes in customer behaviour to Sales Manager to help inform sales strategy. PERSON SPECIFICATION • Minimum 2 years’ of experience in a sales or business development role., • Proven experience with CRM systems, comfortable with financial figures and working to KPI targets., • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders., • Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills, • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as part of a team, • Keen eye for detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset., • Keen to learn and willingness to take on more responsibilities., • A keen interest in art and the creative industries would be advantageous.
