Humanities Teacher (Geography Specialist) We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher with a specialism in Geography to join our academy. You will deliver high-quality Geography teaching within a supportive Humanities department, helping students develop strong subject knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a curiosity about the world. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about Geography, committed to inclusive practice, and focused on raising student achievement. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum. Monitor, assess, and support student progress, acting as a form tutor and contributing to students' academic and personal development. Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and departmental improvement within the Humanities team. Use assessment data effectively to inform teaching, intervention, and support strategies. Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to quality assurance processes. Communicate positively with students, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders. Promote a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment in line with academy policies. Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant undergraduate degree in Geography or a related subject. Experience teaching Geography at secondary level; ECTs are welcome to apply. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum at KS3 and KS4. Evidence of effective classroom practice and the ability to motivate and engage learners. Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage workload effectively.
