A fast-growing, mission-led FMCG brand operating at the intersection of sport, outdoor adventure, health, wellness, and sustainability is hiring a Graduate Business Development Executive to help accelerate its presence across the UK fitness and retail landscape. This is a high-energy, hands-on, field-based graduate role for someone who is hungry, commercially curious, and not afraid to put themselves out there. You’ll be on the ground, opening doors, starting conversations, negotiating space, representing the brand in person, and building genuine relationships within gyms, climbing centres, fitness communities, and retail environments. Retail Activation + Account Growth • Own and drive growth across a defined London territory, managing multiple retail accounts, • Proactively visit stores to secure shelf space, off-fixture displays, and new product listings, • Increase brand visibility across grocery, convenience, and quick-service retail outlets, • Confidently prospect, pitch, and win new retail accounts through in-person selling, • Support local retail promotions, launches, and in-store campaigns 2. Relationship Management • Build strong, professional relationships with store managers, supervisors, and independent retailers, • Be a visible, reliable presence in stores — representing the brand on the ground, • Collaborate with internal teams to execute in-store activations, sampling, and promotional missions, • Communicate the brand’s mission, values, and product story clearly and consistently 3. Learning + Development • Dedicate time each week to a personal commercial project focused on driving incremental sales, • Learn the fundamentals of retail sales, negotiation, merchandising, and category management, • Gain hands-on exposure to account development, route planning, and field sales execution, • Build a strong foundation for progression within FMCG sales or commercial teams 4. Gym + Fitness Account Activation • Proactively approach, open, and activate independent gyms and fitness venues across London and the UK, • Confidently introduce the brand, pitch its value, and convert gym owners into long-term wholesale customers, • Ensure strong product distribution and visibility across fitness environments, • Deliver in-gym activations, sampling sessions, and grassroots brand moments 5. Relationship + Community Building • Build authentic, face-to-face relationships with gym owners, personal trainers, coaches, and fitness communities, • Identify creative ways to embed the brand into gym culture, events, and training environments, • Act as a true brand ambassador, confidently representing the brand at gyms, climbing centres, and fitness events, • Spend time in the field — this role is about showing up, starting conversations, and being seen 6. Commercial + Brand Execution • Support the rollout of sport-focused product ranges and new SKUs, • Execute promotions in collaboration with wholesale partners, • Support brand presence through creative in-gym and community-led initiatives, • Develop core commercial, sales, and account management skills within FMCG The Person... • Recent graduate or post-graduate (this role is not suitable for senior or experienced FMCG or sales professionals), • No prior FMCG or sales experience required — attitude and drive are essential, • Tenacious, confident, and resilient, with the ability to handle rejection and keep going, • Comfortable approaching people, starting conversations, and pitching face-to-face, • Strong interest in retail, FMCG brands, consumer products, sport, fitness, outdoor adventure, climbing, or sustainability, • Enjoys being out of the office and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on, field-based role, • Naturally personable and happy representing a brand at events, activations, and weekends when required, • Organised, adaptable, and confident managing time and travel independently, • Passionate about health, wellness, and sustainability, • Personable, professional, and comfortable representing a brand independently, • Curious, coachable, and motivated to build a long-term career in FMCG, retail sales, brand development, or commercial strategy Your recruiter for this role is Charlotte Wood, Recruitment Consultant at Jobs In.
