This is an excellent opportunity for a Depot Support Operative to work as part of the team at our depot in Uxbridge, West London. We are seeking a Depot Support Operative to assist in all labouring duties and to support all aspects of the transport and engineering functions at the depot.\n\nYou must be a great team player, be reliable and have a keen desire to learn within an engineering environment.\n\nResponsibilities include: -\n\nWork with drivers to ensure all trucks are loaded in a safe and efficient manner.\n\t\nPick and make available machines for drivers as notified on Transport planning sheets.\n\t\nEnsure all vehicles and drivers have loads available to maximise driving hours and vehicle efficiency.\n\t\nEnsure all diesel machines have tanks filled and chargeable invoicing information is competed daily.\n\t\nEnsure machine layout is maintained/improved to use available yard space efficiently.\n\t\nPark all machines after engineers have parked in laydown area.\n\t\nComplete planned maintenance activities including work to improve machine standards in the depot (cleaning and painting) and within Livery guidelines.\n\t\nImprove/organise engineers stores to ensure efficient use of parts in line with the LSM.\n\t\nBe an ambassador for and ensure compliance of Quality, Health, Safety and Tech X standards and policies.\n\t\nAct as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times.\n\t\nMaintain high levels of personal appearance, ensuring uniform and personal protective equipment are used correctly.\n\t\nSupport the Location/Workshop Service Manager, Senior Service Engineer & the shift supervisor in the effective running of maintenance operations.\n\t\nProvide general depot maintenance where required\n\t\nEnsure electric machines are on charge before and after inspection\n\t\nProvide on-site support when required\n\t\nUse the internal mobile application to complete specified tasks planned by the LSM/WSM or SSE.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have: -\n\nReliable and punctual\n\t\nBasic understanding of powered access\n\t\nKeen to learn and progress within an engineering environment\n\t\nFlexible attitude\n\t\nAbility to work as a team player in a reactive working environment\n\t\nFull UK Drivers Licence\n\t\nForklift Licence desirable\n\nIn return you will receive:\n\nA Competitive Salary\n\t\nHealth Cash Plan\n\t\nAuto enrolment pension scheme\n\t\n25 days holiday\n\t\nLifestyle Benefits – discount on selected high street stores\n\nPart of the Loxam Group, Nationwide Platforms are the UK's leading specialist provider of Powered Access rental equipment, with the largest and broadest fleet, local depots spread across the country and our wealth of experience partnering with companies in a variety of sectors including Construction, Warehouse & Distribution, Aviation, Facilities Management, Industrial Services, Telecoms and Media, our customers can depend on us to provide the right solution to support their every working at height need.\n\nAt Nationwide Platforms, your safety is absolutely our priority.
