Support Worker Location: Sefton Salary: £13.68 per hour (qualified rate) Sleep-in Rate: £60 per sleep Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Home We are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established 3-bed EBD/LD children's home. This is an excellent opportunity to join a consistent team focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. Shift Pattern Rolling 2-on 4-off rota • Day 1: 9:30am – 11:00pm, • Day 2: 7:00am – 11:00pm, • Day 3: 7:00am – 10:00am (handover before beginning four rest days), • Sleep-in payment: £60 per sleep Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support., • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing., • Build trusting relationships with young people and act as a positive role model., • Support education, independence, life skills, and recreational activities., • Complete accurate daily records, care plans, and incident reports., • Administer medication where appropriate., • Safeguard children and ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards., • Support and mentor Residential Support Workers within the team., • Participate in team meetings, training, and supervisions. Requirements • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)., • Previous experience working within a residential children's home., • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Children's Homes Regulations., • Excellent communication and teamwork skills., • A caring, resilient, and positive approach to supporting young people., • Full UK driving licence is desirable.
