Role Overview As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our hostel and bar. From overseeing multiple departments to enhancing guest experiences and supporting team members, this role is dynamic and multifaceted. You will work closely with the General Manager to implement strategies that align with Beds & Bars’ standards, ensuring exceptional service, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role requires flexibility, with shifts often including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities Departmental Oversight * Supervise daily operations across multiple departments, including housekeeping, front desk, food & beverage, and maintenance. * Ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and exceptional service standards in all areas. * Coordinate with team members to manage room assignments, common areas, and facility upkeep. Team Leadership * Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences. * Prepare team schedules, conduct performance reviews, and foster a collaborative work environment. * Address team challenges and provide constructive feedback to improve performance. Guest Experience * Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly. * Create a welcoming and community-driven atmosphere for travelers. * Identify and implement strategies to elevate guest satisfaction. Financial Management * Assist in managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and optimizing profitability. * Oversee inventory management, ensuring timely procurement and cost control. * Support financial reporting and analysis of operational performance. Compliance and Safety * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations. * Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards. * Maintain up-to-date records of licenses, permits, and certifications. Events and Marketing Support Leadership and Management * Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. Operational Expertise * Familiarity with hostel operations, including reservation systems and facility management. Customer Service Excellence * Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills to enhance guest satisfaction.
