The company also offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.\n\nPosition overview:\n\nThe Technical Support Engineer provides hands-on, field-based technical support across the Flex asset fleet. The role is focused on fault response, asset recovery, winter readiness, and returning assets to service during critical periods such as TRIAD and System Peak Days (SPDs). The role also covers facilities and infrastructure repairs, control of contracts and supporting the Technical Support Manager, coordinate and execute larger Capex projects. Working under the Technical Support Manager, the role acts as a “man-on-the-job” technical resource, directly supporting Operations teams in the North West and South West regions and across the wider fleet as required. You will work across various sites to ensure plant reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. The role involves a mix of scheduled maintenance reactive repairs and fault-finding, requiring a proactive and hands-on approach.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nReport to the Technical Support Manager and support delivery of fleet-wide technical performance.\n\nProvide hands-on, on-site technical support across the Flex asset fleet as directed.\n\nAct as a ‘man-on-the-job’ resource during asset faults, breakdowns, and recovery activities.\n\nSupport Operations teams in the North West and South West regions during winter operations.\n\nProvide dedicated technical support to return assets to service for TRIAD periods and System Peak Days (SPDs).\n\nAttend sites during winter peak operations, TRIAD windows, and system stress events as required.\n\nAvailability and willingness to work away from home is a fundamental requirement of the role.\n\nSupport commissioning, testing, and return-to-service activities following maintenance or repair.\n\nCarry out fault-finding, defect rectification, and technical investigations on plant and auxiliary systems.\n\nAssist with implementation of maintenance strategies, repairs, and technical modifications.\n\nEnsure all work is carried out in accordance with HSSE requirements, RAMS, and safe systems of work.\n\nMaintain accurate technical records, defect reports, and work completion documentation.\n\nLiaise with supervisors, field service engineers, OEMs, and contractors to resolve technical issues.\n\nSupport winter readiness activities, inspections, and fleet preparation programmes.\n\nUndertake additional duties consistent with the technical nature of the role as required.\n\n- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and engineering standards at all times.
