NB MUST HAVE CMM ON CV£35,000.00 per yearJob Description:QUALITY INSPECTOR – ENGINEERINGWigan £35,000 per annum Permanent, full-time Early finish every FridayBright Search is recruiting an experienced Quality Inspector for an established engineering manufacturer based in Wigan.This is a hands-on, shop-floor-based position involving the inspection of precision-engineered components throughout the manufacturing process. You will ensure that finished products meet the required engineering specifications, quality standards and customer requirements.THE ROLEYour responsibilities will include:Completing goods-inwards, in-process and final inspectionsOperating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)Inspecting components against engineering drawings and technical specificationsUsing micrometres, verniers, height gauges and other precision measuring equipmentAccurately recording inspection results for traceability and quality auditsSupporting First Article Inspection, PPAP and associated quality documentationRaising non-conformance reports and working with production teams to resolve quality issuesAssisting with root-cause analysis and corrective actionsCarrying out internal calibration of measuring and inspection equipmentChecking surface finish, labelling and packaging integrityMaintaining a clean, organised and safety-conscious inspection areaABOUT YOUTo be considered, you should have:Previous quality inspection experience within an engineering or manufacturing environmentExperience operating a CMMA strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and material specificationsConfidence using mechanical inspection equipmentExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approachBasic knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001Good communication, documentation and IT skillsThe ability to work effectively with production and quality colleaguesExperience programming a CMM and inspecting cast components from goods-inwards verification through to final inspection would be particularly advantageous.HOURSMonday to Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm Friday: 7:30am–11:30amSALARY£35,000 per annumThis is a permanent, full-time, on-site opportunity offering excellent weekday hours and an early finish every Friday.TPBN1_UKTJ
