Refrigeration Service Engineer This opportunity is with a global leading Refrigeration manufacturer. This role will be covering the Liverpool region primarily. Successful applicant must have current F-gas qualification. Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to carry out Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) work on lift equipment and machinery, while also providing essential administrative and operational support to the Operations Manager. This hybrid role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Technical Duties • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on lift machinery and related equipment., • Conduct functional testing, safety checks, and quality assurance prior to dispatch., • Identify faults, carry out basic repairs, and escalate complex issues when necessary., • Ensure all equipment meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations., • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and technical documentation., • Assist the Operations Manager with daily administrative tasks., • Prepare and update job files, schedules, and operational paperwork., • Support coordination of deliveries, collections, and equipment movements., • Help manage workshop workflows to ensure timely completion of PDI work., • Maintain inventory logs, parts usage records, and stock monitoring., • Assist with health & safety compliance documentation and audits. Skills & Experience Required • Proven experience as a Technician, Senior Technician, or similar technical role., • Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems (experience with lifts or heavy machinery preferred)., • Experience of supervise warehouse staff., • Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and inspection checklists., • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills., • Strong administrative abilities, including documentation and record-keeping., • Proficiency with basic computer systems (MS Office, digital forms, job management software)., • Excellent organisation, time-management, and communication skills., • Ability to work independently and support junior technicians when needed., • Full UK driving licence., • Right to work in the UK.

Position Summary: The Commissioning Technician is an integral part of the commissioning team, with their main responsibility being to work with and support the commissioning engineer and their manager in the successful commissioning of our BESS projects. The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel and complete tasks at various project sites nation wide. Responsibilities: • Play a critical role on-site in the execution of BESS projects, from mechanical completion through to entering commercial operation,, • Perform task assigned by the commissioning manager and engineer, ranging from visual inspections through to electrical fault finding and beyond,, • Perform daily routine tasks such as executing commissioning test sheets, reviewing and logging issues/resolutions and helping to monitor the progress of the project’s commissioning activities,, • Support the commissioning of the overall control system by testing the network connectivity of all field devices and performing point-to-point tests,, • Provide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands-on support,, • Supervise subcontractors on-site where required,, • Assist in developing standard operatingprocedures from lessons learned on-site,, • Assist with the completion of testing documentation and preparation of test reports in a timely manner,, • Support client and their O&M contractor training,, • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies,, • Attending and occasionally leading Plan of Day (POD) meetings,, • Willingness to travel domestically up to 100% of the time. Willingness to support internationally on occasion is advantageous,, • On occasion, be willing to work flexible hours (such as evenings and weekends). Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum NVQ/SVQ (or equivalent) level 3 in electrical discipline. HNC Preferred., • Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in an installation, commissioning or service environment,, • Previous experience or training in the renewables sector highly desired,, • High Voltage and/or SCADA experience will be beneficial,, • Experience with HVAC/Liquid Chillers systems desirable,, • Comfortable working in a team and/or alone with good practical problem-solving skills,, • Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively with internal teams and contractors., • Experience in Microsoft Office tools required, with experience in Smartsheets and Autodesk Construction Cloud advantageous., • Candidate must possess a valid driving license and passport.
