Service Validation Technician Manchester (UK-wide travel) £45,000–£55,000 + company vehicle + bonus + overtime + benefits Aspion Search is partnering with a specialist engineering group delivering high-spec projects across hospitals, laboratories and cleanroom environments. They are seeking a Service Validation Technician to validate and test critical ventilation and cleanroom systems to HTM 03-01, ISO 14644 and GMP standards. The Role of the Service Validation Technician: Field-based UK role (travel and accommodation fully supported) using state-of-the-art, calibrated equipment to validate critical ventilation systems. • HEPA/ULPA filter integrity testing (DOP/PAO testing), • Airflow measurement for supply and extract systems, • Calculation of air change rates, • Velocity measurements within isolators and laminar airflow (LAF) cabinets, • Monitoring and recording of pressure differentials, • Airborne particle counting and analysis, • Airborne microbial contamination monitoring, • Surface sampling for microbial contamination, • Carries out validation of:, • Operating theatres, • Microbiological safety cabinets (Class I–III), • Cleanroom environments, • Including: • Particle counting, • Smoke visualisation, • HEPA filter testing & installation, • Microbial air and surface sampling, • Pressure differential measurements About the Service Validation Technician • Engineering or science qualification., • Over 2 year’s experience in cleanroom/HVAC validation within hospital, laboratory or pharmaceutical settings., • Strong understanding of supply & extract ventilation balancing., • Working knowledge of GMP, HTM 03-01 and P601., • Flexible to travel UK-wide with regular overnights., • Full UK driving licence. Position Summary: The Commissioning Technician is an integral part of the commissioning team, with their main responsibility being to work with and support the commissioning engineer and their manager in the successful commissioning of our BESS projects. The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel and complete tasks at various project sites nation wide. Responsibilities: • Play a critical role on-site in the execution of BESS projects, from mechanical completion through to entering commercial operation,, • Perform task assigned by the commissioning manager and engineer, ranging from visual inspections through to electrical fault finding and beyond,, • Perform daily routine tasks such as executing commissioning test sheets, reviewing and logging issues/resolutions and helping to monitor the progress of the project’s commissioning activities,, • Support the commissioning of the overall control system by testing the network connectivity of all field devices and performing point-to-point tests,, • Provide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands-on support,, • Supervise subcontractors on-site where required,, • Assist in developing standard operatingprocedures from lessons learned on-site,, • Assist with the completion of testing documentation and preparation of test reports in a timely manner,, • Support client and their O&M contractor training,, • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies,, • Attending and occasionally leading Plan of Day (POD) meetings,, • Willingness to travel domestically up to 100% of the time. Willingness to support internationally on occasion is advantageous,, • On occasion, be willing to work flexible hours (such as evenings and weekends). Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum NVQ/SVQ (or equivalent) level 3 in electrical discipline. HNC Preferred., • Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in an installation, commissioning or service environment,, • Previous experience or training in the renewables sector highly desired,, • High Voltage and/or SCADA experience will be beneficial,, • Experience with HVAC/Liquid Chillers systems desirable,, • Comfortable working in a team and/or alone with good practical problem-solving skills,, • Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively with internal teams and contractors., • Experience in Microsoft Office tools required, with experience in Smartsheets and Autodesk Construction Cloud advantageous., • Candidate must possess a valid driving license and passport.
