Senior Designer Reporting to: Strategy Director Location: Liverpool (Hybrid) Type: Full-time Salary: Up to £35,000 Overview The Senior Designer plays a key role in delivering high-quality creative work across Essential Group’s client portfolio. This is a hands-on role for a designer with agency experience who is confident working across brand, campaign and content, and can take a brief from strategy to final execution with minimal oversight. Working closely with the Strategy Director, you will turn client objectives into strong, commercially-effective design outputs across digital and offline channels. You will support the creative direction of retained and project clients, maintaining standards of quality, consistency and brand integrity. Key Responsibilities • Brand & Creative Delivery, • Design brand identities, guidelines and supporting assets for new and existing clients, • Deliver campaign and content creative across digital, social, print and presentation formats, • Translate briefs from strategy and marketing into clear, considered visual solutions, • Present and rationalise design decisions internally and, where required, to clients, • Work across multiple retainers and project timelines confidently Collaboration & Workflow • Work closely with content, digital and strategy colleagues to ensure cohesive output, • Support the Creative Lead in maintaining design quality and consistency, • Provide informal guidance to junior creatives when required, • Prepare artwork files correctly for print, web and developer handover, • Liaise with photographers, printers or freelancers when needed Quality, Standards & Process • Maintain file hygiene, version control and technical accuracy, • Uphold brand consistency across all touchpoints and client accounts, • Contribute to improving internal creative processes and documentation, • Ensure all work is aligned with strategic objectives and delivered on time Who We’re Looking For • 3+ years’ experience in a design role within a creative, brand or marketing agency, • Portfolio demonstrating brand, campaign and multi-channel creative work, • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), • Bonus: Figma and/or motion/animation experience, • Confident interpreter of briefs with strong attention to detail, • Comfortable working across multiple clients and deadlines, • Clear communicator, able to present and rationalise creative decisions, • Organised, proactive, and motivated by producing high-quality design work Progression This role is designed with progression into a more senior creative position as the agency grows with increasing opportunity to shape creative direction, lead on key accounts, and support the development of the wider design function.
