Commercial Manager – Renewable Energy Infrastructure Location: Exeter (onsite) 4 days per week Package: £90,000 - £110,000 + 50% bonus (paid annually based on company and personal performance) plus full comprehensive benefits. We’re partnering with a rapidly expanding renewable energy developer that’s delivering a diverse portfolio of UK-based infrastructure projects. Their work spans grid-scale battery energy storage, flexible generation, and future-facing technologies such as pumped hydro and hydrogen. Backed by institutional investment and entering a significant growth phase, the business is now seeking an Commercial Manager to assist with the commercial delivery of a major Battery Storage Project currently moving into Construction phase with 5 years left to run This is a standout opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation that is not only scaling quickly, but actively shaping the future of the UK energy system. Key responsibilities include: • Full commercial management of grid-scale energy projects (BESS, flexible generation, and emerging technologies), • Developing cost plans, procurement strategies, and negotiating major contracts (NEC3/NEC4) Options A and C, • Managing post-contract commercial activities including change control, forecasting, and reporting, • Providing commercial input into investment appraisals and project finance processes, • Working closely with project, engineering, finance, and delivery teams to ensure alignment, • Supporting the growth of the commercial function and mentoring junior team members About You • 7 + years’ experience in Quantity Surveying or commercial management roles, with leadership exposure, • Strong background in infrastructure, energy, or large-scale construction projects, • Excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts and full project lifecycle delivery, • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and hands-on approach, • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, • UK right to work and a driving licence (occasional site visits required) Your Next Step If you’re commercially driven, strategically minded, and motivated by delivering high-impact projects in a purpose-led sector, this role offers the chance to make a genuine difference.
