Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a Rotherham-based manufacturing business as they look to bring in a new Finance Manager to oversee one of their divisions. The role will involve the management of 2 staff as well as dealing with financial reporting, audit, compliance as well as having capacity to deal with operational stakeholders, budgeting and forecasting and process improvement. The role will predominantly be based in the office 5 days a week, although there is some flexibility around this to work hybrid.Benefits: - \n\n • Competitive Salary\n, • Company Pension \n, • Flexible working hours (Core hours are 10am - 4pm) \n\n Duties: - \n\n • Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.\n, • Prepare and post monthly accruals, payroll and accounting adjustments.\n, • Calculate and post stock provisions in line with Group policy.\n, • Own the balance sheet, ensuring accurate and fully supported balances and reconciliations.\n, • Review and reconcile intercompany balances, resolving discrepancies promptly.\n, • Review divisional and departmental P&Ls, providing detailed financial analysis.\n, • Prepare and distribute monthly sales results.\n, • Analyse monthly results against budget, forecast and prior year, providing clear commentary and insight.\n, • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.\n, • Provide day-to-day leadership, support and development to 2 members of staff\n, • Prepare annual statutory accounts in line with FRS 102 and Group accounting policies.\n, • Lead the external audit process and act as the key contact for auditors.\n, • Identify control weaknesses and implement appropriate corrective actions.\n, • Support R&D claims by working with Engineering teams and external R&D advisors.\n, • Liaise with external Corporation Tax advisors.\n, • Prepare capital expenditure information and supporting capital allowance schedules.\n, • Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation.\n, • Review VAT returns for accuracy and compliance.\n, • Review P11Ds and prepare PAYE Settlement Agreements.\n, • Monitor daily cash requirements in line with Group cash pooling policies.\n, • Monitor working capital across debtors, creditors and inventory.\n, • Prepare ad hoc cash flow forecasts as required.\n, • Drive continuous improvement across processes, controls and reporting.\n, • Support system implementations, upgrades and automation projects.\n\n Ideally you will have the following skills and experiences, ideally a second time mover from practice would be ideal for this role due to the technical nature as well as the operational business partnering element. \n\n • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong technical accounting knowledge.\n, • Relevant experience in a financial accounting, management accounting or similar senior finance role.\n, • Strong understanding of month-end, balance sheet, P&L, budgeting and forecasting.\n, • Experience of statutory accounts, audit, VAT and UK tax compliance.\n, • Strong Excel and systems skills, with an interest in automation and process improvement.\n, • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful commercial insight.\n, • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, controls and deadlines.\n, • Confident communicator, able to business partner and influence stakeholders across the organisation.\n, • Experience of supporting or developing junior finance team members.\n, • Proactive, commercially minded and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.\n\n If you are interested in this rare and exciting opportunity, please send in your CV today!
