The Role You’ll work alongside a dynamic team of Partners and Associates on a wide range of real estate finance work, including: • Senior and mezzanine debt structures, • Development finance across residential, PRS, student housing, logistics and mixed-use schemes, • Hotel and leisure finance, • Islamic finance transactions Ideal Candidate Profile • 4+ PQE with experience in real estate finance or general banking with exposure to REF, • Experience in Hotel financing would be highly preferred, • Trained at a well-regarded national, City or international firm, • Technically strong and confident drafting facility and security documentation, • Proactive, commercially minded and driven to develop client relationships, • Join one of the UK’s top-ranked Real Estate Finance teams with a strong pipeline of quality work, • High degree of client contact and ability to lead on significant elements of transactions, • Work across a diverse mix of asset classes and financing structures, • Clear progression path and opportunity to build a profile in a supportive, growth-focused environment

We are delighted to be representing a University, based in London, who are looking to appoint a Commercial Legal Adviser on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position, due to start in September and they can offer a starting salary of up to £51,525. The client is looking for a newly qualified lawyer, or a non-qualified candidate with substantial experience in this field. Duties will include (but are not limited to): • Undertaking contract casework on all areas of the University’s core business including but not limited to: • student contracts, • domestic and international academic partnership contracts, • domestic and international research funding and collaboration, • apprenticeship agreements, • practice placement agreements, • international recruitment agent agreements, • consultancy agreements, • NDAs, • MOUs, • knowledge exchange agreements, • external hire and location agreements, • licensing agreements, • donation and volunteering agreements, • data sharing agreements and IT software agreements • Reviewing, advising, negotiating and drafting commercial terms and conditions, and other legal documents, • Assisting the Legal Services Team by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the correct information has been provided and to obtain outstanding information, • Identifying contractual and practical risks and liabilities and proposing mitigation strategies Skills, knowledge and expertise required: • Experience at a law firm or in an in-house environment, • Experience of contract drafting, review, interpretation and amendment, as well as advising on contractual documents Staff benefits: • Generous, transferable occupational pension schemes, with employer contributions more than individual contributions, • Cycle to work scheme, • Employee assistance programme available 24/7, • Eye care vouchers, • Reduced gym membership Working hours: • 35 hours per week, • 5 days in the office Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
