You will work with Claims Managers & Solicitors to provide exceptional service to our members, who are healthcare professionals from all over the world. You will manage your own small caseload, alongside giving hands-on support to Claims Managers and corresponding with our members, and internal and external stakeholders daily on the telephone and over email. This is a progressive opportunity for someone already experienced and/or qualified in a legal or claims handling area to move to the next level and gain valuable experience in a fast moving and impactful area. Main Responsibilities • Provide tailored day-to-day support for our members (both over the phone and in writing) who can be experiencing stressful circumstances., • Carry out administrative activities on our case handling system, producing accurate and meaningful updates to members and third parties such as external solicitors, members of the public and medico-legal experts., • Producing legal correspondence such as court documents and procedural letters at short notice., • Reviewing large amounts of documentation, identifying the most urgent sections and escalating to senior colleagues. The Ideal Candidate • Knowledge and understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules is desirable. As is experience within a Personal Injury, Clinical or Professional Negligence environment., • The ability to work independently under your own initiative and also as part of a team., • Willingness to expand your skills and knowledge and work within multiple geographical jurisdictions., • Demonstrate a compassionate and understanding telephone manner when supporting members who may be distressed., • Understand the importance of protecting sensitive data and working in a confidential manner., • Possess an exceptional level of attention to detail and the ability to compose high quality work as standard., • Skilled in the ability to look at incoming correspondence to identify items that need immediate attention and how to prioritise such work., • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and researching topics using the internet and legal repositories.
