Job Title: Employee Relations & Organisational Transformation Lead 6-9 Month Contract – Full time Brighton – Hybrid (2 days per week in the office) Salary - £80-100,000 Role Overview Medlock Partners are seeking on behalf of a well-established client an experienced Employee Relations (ER) and Organisational Transformation Lead to design, build, and embed a best-in-class ER function while partnering with senior business leaders on large-scale transformation, organisational design, and operating model initiatives. This role combines strategic design with hands-on delivery and requires a strong understanding of ER governance, people risk, and change management within complex organisations. Key Responsibilities • Employee Relations Strategy & Set-Up, • Design and implement a scalable Employee Relations function, including processes, templates, policies, governance frameworks, and case management standards., • Establish clear ways of working between HR, Legal, business leaders, and external partners., • Define ER service delivery models, resourcing plans, and capability requirements., • Develop and implement ER metrics, reporting frameworks, and risk management approaches., • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policy standards., • Transformation and Organisational Design, • Partner with senior leaders on large-scale transformation, restructuring, and operating model redesign., • Provide strategic ER guidance during reorganisations, workforce transitions, and change programmes., • Assess people risks associated with transformation initiatives and develop mitigation strategies., • Support consultation processes, workforce planning, and structural redesign., • Embed sustainable governance models aligned to future-state organisational design., • Leadership & Stakeholder Management, • Act as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leadership teams., • Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and pragmatic risk assessment., • Coach leaders on complex employee matters and organisational effectiveness., • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between people strategy and business objectives. Experience & Qualifications • Proven experience setting up or significantly transforming an Employee Relations function., • Demonstrated success partnering with business leaders on major transformation, restructuring, or operating model initiatives., • Strong knowledge of employment law and ER best practice., • Experience designing governance frameworks, processes, templates, and ER operating models., • Ability to operate strategically while managing operational delivery., • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels., • Experience working within complex, matrixed, or large organisations preferred., • Strategic thinking and organisational design expertise, • Commercial acumen and risk management, • Change leadership and transformation capability, • Strong communication and executive presence, • Analytical and data-driven decision making If you are interested in this role and you feel that your experience matches the criteria, then please apply now for immediate consideration or for more information please contact Andrew Davison.
