A global manufacturing business located in Salfords (Redhill), specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of a range of static tension and/or compression testing machines, including specialist grips, fixtures and applications are seeking a Mechanical Fitter. \n\n As a Mechanical Fitter you will:\n\nAssemble and build material testing machines, mechanical and pneumatic grips and other precise instruments, mechanically fitting parts including wiring looms and electronic looms and electronic displays.\nBe competent in the use of Pillar Drill, Manual Lathe and other tool room equipment.\nComplete paperwork i.e. works orders etc.\nAssist in annual stock count.\nEnsure targets are met.\nEnsure parts are collated, fitted and adapted where necessary to equipment ready for\n testing.\nReport to Supervisor any changes to drawings to ensure full records are kept.\nMonitor and check quality assurance of products being checked.\nWe are looking for a Mechanical Fitter who has the following skills and experience:\n\nApprentice trained time served, NVQ / HNC / HND / in Mechanical Engineering or other\n relevant discipline.\nClose tolerance assembly skills in a machine build environment.\nCompetent with machine shop precision measuring equipment i.e. micrometres and\n verniers.\nAble to read and interpret engineering drawings, general assembly drawings and geometric tolerances.\nAble to operate a variety of hand and machine tools.\nWorking hours are Monday - Thursday 8.00 - 16.30, Friday - 8.00 – 16:00.\n\n In return you will receive a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 pa depending on experience.\n\n To apply for this role as Mechanical Fitter, please click apply online and upload an updated copy of your CV.\n\nCandidate Source Ltd is an advertising agency.
