As a Senior ILS Engineer within the ILS / Obsolescence team, you will support the delivery of contracted ILS requirements across key UK Defence programmes and contribute to the continued development of the Integrated Logistics Support discipline. Working within a sovereign UK defence engineering environment, you will support complex, safety-critical systems deployed in support of UK and allied defence operations. Key Responsibilities • Deliver core ILS activities, including impact of change assessments to system support solutions, • Conduct and support FMECA, LORA and Life Cycle Costing activities, • Support PHS&T, training and disposal considerations, including hazardous material and security constraints, • Produce ILS Management Plans in line with DEF STAN 00-600 and business ILS strategy, • Deliver proactive and reactive obsolescence management in accordance with BS EN-IEC-62402, • Identify spares requirements in line with MoD policy and NATO codification principles, • Support reliability and availability analysis, including ARM reporting and Reliability Block Diagrams, • Support customer maintenance policy development, UMMS schedules and RCM activities, • Contribute to bid and proposal activities, including requirements review and Basis of Estimate development, • Ensure compliance with ILS requirements and promote the value of ILS across engineering stakeholders, • Demonstrate understanding of the full engineering lifecycle, from contract delivery through in-service support What We’re Looking For • Proven experience delivering ILS within the UK Defence environment, • Engineering degree or equivalent experience, ideally supported by an HNC Level 4 qualification or above, • Strong knowledge of relevant UK Defence and international ILS standards, • Experience supporting ILS activities on maritime surface or sub-surface platforms, • Experience of ILS applied to control systems and software
