Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker Location: Wiltshire, SN12 8BN Pay rate: £33,592 per annum Job Type: Full-Time Shift and schedule: Shift pattern: 160 hours per month (average 40 hours per week) Rota basis: 2 days on + sleep-in, followed by 4 days off Priority Recruitment are excited to present this long-term Senior Residential Care Worker opportunity in Wiltshire. Salary & Benefits: • £33,592 per annum, • Sleep-in shifts included within rota (sleep-in rate to be confirmed if applicable), • Weekly pay every Friday, • DBS fees reimbursed, • Refer a friend scheme earn up to £500 per referral, • Access to 30,000+ national and local employee discounts (electronics, food, travel, fitness and more), • Access to 100+ free virtual courses, live and on-demand, to support your professional developmentCompany and Role:, • Supporting children and young people in a residential care setting, • Leading shifts and supporting the staff team, • Creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment, • Promoting independence, confidence, and personal developmentDay-to-day responsibilities include:, • Leading shifts and supporting team members to deliver high-quality care, • Supporting the Home Manager and deputising in their absence, • Supervising staff and supporting performance and development, • Ensuring safeguarding and child protection standards are upheld at all times, • Supporting children with daily routines, activities, and emotional wellbeing, • Acting as a positive role model for both young people and staff, • Contributing to care planning and attending reviews/meetings, • Supporting behaviour using appropriate strategies and therapeutic approaches, • Liaising with external professionals such as social workers, schools, and therapists, • Supporting the induction and development of new staff, • Ensuring health & safety procedures and risk assessments are followedHousehold responsibilities include:, • Supporting with the day-to-day running of the home, • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation, • Promoting a healthy lifestyle for children and young people, • Ensuring the home environment is safe, structured, and welcomingSuccessful Candidate:, • Previous experience working in childrens residential care (essential), • Experience in a senior or leadership role (preferred), • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, • Ability to lead shifts and support a team effectively, • Calm, resilient, and confident approach, • Strong communication and organisational skills, • Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends, • Commitment to continuous professional development Apply now for more details, wed love to hear from you! *Some of our roles require drivers and male or female employees only.
