This will include complying with the Housing Disrepair pre action protocol, assessing liability, drafting court documentation, issuing court proceedings via Part 7 CPR, complying with court directions, document and letter creating in addition to the use of the telephone/email, review of RICs report, review of medical records, collation of special damages, collage of medical evidence, submission of full details, negotiations and settlements. To comply with all key dates including court directions, limitation and hearing dates. To be responsible for the pro-active maintenance of their own task pad. Identify any complications within their caseload and immediately refer to their team leader. To assess liability and make an initial assessment of special damages. Contact clients by telephone and maintain regular and pro-active telephone contact with clients as required by our SLA’s. To demonstrate an ability to work to deadlines and be self-sufficient. We are in need of a pre-litigation fee earner in our Preston Office A high-volume caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA Portal claims following the MOJ process. • Key Tasks: • Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations. • To identify early those cases where proceedings would be tactically beneficial to litigate and to do so expeditiously. • Identify cases that have an element of serious injury and escalate the cases and remove form the Portal. The Role The role of the candidate will be, both to provide direct two-to-one care for the client in the home and community, and 1:1 care at night as an oncall sleep in shift. The successful candidate will be friendly, professional and a team player, with a passion to provide high quality care. Direct Care The candidate will work alongside another support worker to deliver the following care to the client: personal care, medication administration, and meeting manual handling needs. There must be a commitment to build an appropriate friendship and rapport with the client, promote privacy and dignity and provide a high standard of therapeutic support in line with the relevant care plan’s and guidance.
